Euphorbia Lactea Desert Rose
Question from Don:
We bought a Euphorbia Lactea at the OC County Fair a few years back. It has grown very well on our patio and has sprouted new branches. One is twice the original height of the plant. If I cut the branch and cut a split will it bloom a new flower? Or is it a graft process that I can perform? If skill required do you know a nursery near Long Beach Airport that can do it?
Answer from Pat:
I am sorry but I do not fully understand your question, thus I cannot answer it. For example, perhaps you mean Euphorbia lactea cristata, which is grafted. I do not think you should cut it. Nor will this produce flowering. Also, nurseries are not equipped to do grafting. A good way to learn more about your plant and its care would be to attend meetings of the Cactus and Succulent Society closest to your home.
