- Snowbush (Breynia disticha) needs splash of sun for colorful leaves. West facing or east facing is okay, even 2 hours sun in middle of the day.
- Camellia (Camellia indica , Camellia japonica, and C. sasanqua.)
- Coleus (Solenostemon scutellarioides cultivars.)

- Cymbidium orchids (Keep in adequate sun and spread of temps for bloom, but while in bloom display them in shade.)

- Royal purple brunfelsia (Brunfelsia grandiflora ‘Royal Purple’)
- ‘Encore’ azaleas are long blooming as are ‘Alaska’ and ‘Happy Days’.)
- Yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Brunfelsia pauciflora)
