NOTE: If you are growing vegetables year-round there will be some carry over of cool-season crops into warm weather, for example artichokes, which can be put in from transplants in March and harvested in June, or globe onions, which are planted from seeds in November and harvested in late May or June, and strawberries which are also planted in November and harvested throughout spring into early summer.

  1. I just finished watching you on ForeFront and so enjoyed your tips and your lovely garden…I moved into a garden cottage in PB last year and the lovely 95 yrs. old lady in the main house has allowed me to start caring for the garden…she still dabbles but, can’t physically maintain it and the gardener she had didn’t have his heart in it..I love having my hands in the dirt and creating rooms as you mentioned. It is a 3 tier garden and two patios..complete with pond and fountain…I am in heaven..smile We were just saying we needed to investigate into new plants and more that are Cali plants and your show came on…I will be joyfully buying your month to month book this week…..thank you so much for sharing..May continued blessings come to you always…
