Vegetable Gardening
Question from Sally:
Which of your books would be best for a novice San Diego vegetable gardener. Many thanks – buying one of your books for Christmas gift.
Answer from Pat:
“Pat Welsh’s Southern California Organic Gardening, Month by Month”, published by Chronicle Books, covers vegetable gardening in every chapter. This is the best book to give as a present to someone wanting help with vegetable growing in Southern California. You will find this subject at the end of each monthly chapter. Even a novice gardener will have success with the help of this book. So much of it is dependent on correct timing and knowing a few little tips and hints for success. It’s all there and easy to follow. Other edibles, such as fruit trees or berries, are covered at various locations within each monthly chapter depending on the importance of the information in that particular month. (The checklists at the end of each chapter also cover vegetables and other edibles along with everything else we grow here.) Thanks for purchasing this book and giving it as a Christmas gift. (This book is currently in print and available online or at any book store. If it’s out of stock they can order it.) Many thanks for asking.
