I agree about digging out the trash can. That doesn&#039;t sound easy to me either. But yes, you could have dug the citrus peels directly into the ground, just not right under the trees. You could have chosen a spot away from the citrus trees. French gardeners do trench composting. They dig a trench and throw everything in and cover with a bit of earth and that works fine too.</description>

Composting can be kind of intimidating, the more I learn about it, but the plastic barrel sounds easy.....until it&#039;s time to dig out the finished product.
